About the scholarship

Each year we award a $2,500 scholarship to a JM senior who embodies Ceili’s spirit of service.  We do this to encourage and support service-minded students to pursue further education.  So far we have given $25,000 in scholarships to ten amazing students.

Dr. Marci Catlett (Superintendent FCPS) and Owen Cobey (Ceili's classmate & friend, and JM Class of 2012) co-presented the 10th recipient of the Ceili Leahy Service Scholarship at JM's Senior Honors Assembly on May 13, 2025.
